The central and overseas leadership of AMAN met with Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of AMAN’s Honorary Board, for a strategic dialogue on leadership, international business, and the growing contribution of the Indonesian diaspora to the national economy.
The meeting provided an opportunity for AMAN’s young leaders to exchange perspectives with one of Indonesia’s prominent business figures. Discussions reflected the importance of connecting emerging professionals with experienced national leaders who understand the relationship between entrepreneurship, investment, diplomacy, and long-term economic development.
Indonesia’s diaspora possesses valuable international experience, technical expertise, and access to global professional networks. When effectively connected with opportunities at home, these capabilities can support investment, innovation, market expansion, and the development of globally competitive Indonesian enterprises. AMAN therefore seeks to serve as a bridge between diaspora potential and Indonesia’s strategic priorities.
The engagement also reaffirmed the importance of preparing a new generation of leaders who are globally minded while remaining firmly committed to Indonesia. Through mentorship, strategic dialogue, and cross-border collaboration, AMAN aims to equip young Indonesians with the perspective and networks required to contribute at both the national and international levels.
With the guidance of its Honorary Board, AMAN will continue developing meaningful initiatives that transform diaspora connections into concrete opportunities for Indonesia’s economic progress and shared prosperity.
